Garden of Happiness was an interactive paper installation created for xOrdinary, responding to the theme of happiness through fragility, participation, and impermanence.

Built from layers of paper, the installation formed a soft, mountain-like landscape within the exhibition hall. Its scale created an immediate visual presence, but its material remained light, delicate, and temporary — reflecting the quiet contradiction of happiness itself: something powerful, yet easily altered; something we try to hold, yet often experience only for a moment.

Visitors were invited to participate by writing and leaving their own reflections on happiness. Through these small personal messages, the work became less of a fixed sculpture and more of a collective emotional archive. Each note added another layer of meaning, turning the installation into a shared landscape of memories, wishes, gratitude, and longing.

Although the work only lasted for the duration of the exhibition, its temporary nature became part of its message. Like happiness, it was never meant to remain unchanged forever. It appeared, gathered people around it, carried their thoughts for a short while, and then disappeared — leaving behind the memory of a moment that was quietly shared.
